Peaceful Love

(originally written in 2013)

peaceful like a Sunday night on city streets

he moves like winds through the tops of palm trees

got a sense of salty seas within his tears and

i feel the sandy shores of his hair

kissing his heart’s center with my sighs

he is floating into the breeze above

calls this connection potentially love

but who knows when its all still such a mystery

exchanging notes on the past

history

where we were, where we are

and predictions like palm readers

beneath the diamonds over our heads

we escape inside of this place

peaceful like this breezy cool air between

my legs and i’m drifting like he is the ocean

and I’m the kiss of seas

we meeting just at the borders that barely

separate

(written while listening to “More Than A Woman” by Angie Stone and Calvin Richardson)
