Colors as Learned Symbols: a message on police behavior

You see “red” and think “stop” You see “green” you think “go” You see pink, you think “girl” You see “blue” you think “boy” … etc.
So if you acknowledge that we are conditioned to “think” certain things based on colors as “symbols” THEN IF a policeman who reacts violently against dark brown skin but reacts much more mildly to lighter skin, why do some deny that it is related to “upbringing” and “lack of understanding”?
When you’ve been trained to “think symbolically” about a color, THAT is what you react with: FEAR and not comprehension of a situation. DUAL SOLUTION: Punish those officers who break the law, AND bridge the gap in understanding by REQUIRING regularly scheduled discussion panels and social interactions with people OF ALL races for ALL officers
