A Million to One

a million heart breaks
a million and one… two… three
… tearing at me … six … seven… eight …
my breath breaking into glitter dew drops
… 14 15 16 …
I count these breaks
… diamond shards dancing tango steps they find each other inside the air currents
25 26 27
… say that strongest element I am …
30 31 32 …
but I’m just as delicate as dew, when it comes to you
… 39 40 41 … a million and 42 …
FATHER, this is one million and 44 seconds,
breaks in my structure
and it’s all thanks to you
… a million and 47 … 48 … 49 …
just one word from you would bring all the pieces back to
ONE.
