Heaven Ascending – Poems inspired by HER

Dorothy and Harry

found frozen

dreams

suspended

inside our hands

this glass

divides

your affection

from my skin

wanna feel you

breathe you

but could kill me

i  remember

baby you linger

inside me

you were my elevator

lifting me

into heaven

heaven ascending

ascension

my angel til then

I’ll be rising

see you soon

they crying out

I’m center

without you

i must rise to be

the only

im spinning like top

between falling and flying

baby you left

me here without my centerpiece

i am spinning

they see me standing

but im nearly falling

calling

for my elevator

to lift me

into heaven

heaven ascending

ascension

my angel til then

I’m still rising

see you soon

my lover distant

i’m running past distances this disease robbed our dreams

you still lift me

into heaven

heaven ascending

ascension

see you soon

my angel

til then …

I’ll stay rising

(inspired by the worries and strength she felt when our grandfather died from tuberculosis. written while listening this video)
