R-E-S-P-E-C-T: Let’s talk about it…
respect – (v) – to show regard or consideration for AND to refrain from intruding upon or interfering with:
In our world, SOME things should be held sacred, OTHERWISE, we are no better than the dog who rolls in dead things… THEN AGAIN at least a dog doesn’t drop feces in his own home.
What is sacred to you? What is sacred to others living in your nation? Should others be expected to respect what is sacred to you? Should you be expected to be respectful of what is sacred to others?
REMEMBER the definition I started with (respect is to show regard or consideration for AND to refrain from intruding upon or interfering with:) … nothing more nothing less than that… you don’t have to feel it is sacred, don’t have to call it sacred, you definitely don’t have to “bow” or “pray” to what you don’t think is sacred… showing respect means simply “showing consideration and not interfering with”
